Thank you for completing my questionnaire.
we then had to analyse the results;
Questionnaire analysis
From the results of my questionnaires I found that ‘Noise’ was the preferred name for my magazine. It’s important to know if your audience will like the name of the magazine as the name needs to be recognised and so needs to be strong.
When asked whether they wanted more text, more images or equal amounts of text and images, the overall feedback was that they wanted more images; this will help when constructing my article as now I know I need to feature more images. Also, I asked what was the most important thing when choosing a magazine; I found that most people chose a magazine from the image on the front, this means that when designing my front cover I need to have a strong image and not focus too much on the text.
My magazine is going to be multi genre, to make sure this was what the audience wanted I asked them; all feedback was that multi genre was the best option, as a result of this the tagline for my magazine is going to be 'a bit of everything...' this clearly indicates that the magazine has bits of everything and so potential readers will know before reading what genre of magazine it is.
My target audience will be 16- 25; this means I need to chose articles, images and stories to suit this age range. i need to keep in mind that this is a young age range and so it needs to be suitable for young readers.
